Anchor Points

Marblehead Massachusetts has quickly become one of my favorite places to visit. I’ve already told my wife Maura Kate that we’re retiring to a quaint little house overlooking Marblehead harbor, and a view like this one is a key reason why.

Fellow photographers John Tammaro, Jeff Tamagini and I took an early pre-dawn trip to the harbor last year for a few hours and ended up capturing one of the most gorgeous sunrises I’ve seen. I think the calm and serenity of the area shows through in this photo with the light cloud cover and smooth water.

If you enjoy sunrises, you’d be hard pressed to find a better location than nearby Crocker Park, elevated above the harbor on a small cliff. This is one of those areas that I’m sure I’ll be shooting for many years to come.
